About TYLA
TYLA is a landscape architecture and urban design studio founded by Tarık Yaşar in Istanbul in 2013 and now operating from both Istanbul and London.
The studio works across landscape architecture, urban design, and spatial planning, with experience in public spaces, cultural landscapes, campuses, coastal areas, valleys, agricultural landscapes, and conservation-oriented projects.
TYLA approaches each project through its site, context, ecology, and everyday use. Rather than applying a fixed design language, the studio aims to develop clear, grounded, and site-specific proposals that respond to the character and potential of each place.
The studio collaborates with architects, planners, engineers, ecologists, and other specialists depending on the needs of each project. Alongside commissioned work, TYLA has also taken part in national and international design competitions and received several awards.
